Terms and Conditions and Disclaimer
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating a violator account, signing in, or using this system, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and Disclaimer. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the portal.
2. Purpose of the System
This system is an official digital platform of the Municipal Traffic Management Office (MTMO) of Pototan, Iloilo. It allows registered violators to:
- create and manage a violator account;
- view recorded traffic violations and related penalty information;
- view case status and related records (including evidence, when available);
- receive announcements, notices, and warnings;
- submit feedback, complaints, or concerns about recorded violations.
The system supports traffic enforcement, record-keeping, and penalty management. It does not replace in-person transactions or formal legal proceedings when those are required.
3. Eligibility and Account Registration
- You must provide complete, true, and accurate information (full name, username, plate number, contact number, address, date of birth, and password).
- You must register using a plate number that you own, operate, or are authorized to manage.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
- You must not create an account using another person’s identity or plate number without authority.
- The MTMO may suspend, disable, or remove accounts that contain false information or are used improperly.
4. Accurate Information
You agree to keep your contact details and personal information updated; report errors in your profile or linked records through the proper feedback/concern channels; and understand that incorrect registration details may delay notice delivery, verification, or settlement.
5. Use of the Violator Portal
You may use the portal only for lawful purposes related to your own traffic records and account. You agree not to:
- attempt unauthorized access to other accounts or system data;
- misuse, copy, alter, or interfere with system functions or records;
- upload or submit false, abusive, harassing, or misleading feedback/concerns;
- use the system to commit fraud or avoid lawful penalties.
6. Violation Records and Penalties
- Violation records in the system are entered by authorized officers based on official enforcement activity.
- Displayed penalties, statuses, and amounts are based on recorded data and may be updated after review, correction, payment posting, or supervisory action.
- Viewing a violation online does not, by itself, cancel, reduce, or settle the penalty.
- Settlement, payment validation, and official clearance follow MTMO / Municipal Treasurer procedures and applicable local ordinances.
7. Feedback, Complaints, and Concerns
- Violators may submit concerns about recorded violations through the system’s feedback channel.
- Submission of a concern does not automatically void a violation or stop penalty processing.
- The MTMO/supervisor may review, respond to, or resolve concerns according to office procedures.
- You must provide truthful information and valid reference details when filing a concern.
8. Notices and Communications
The system may show announcements, warnings, and notifications related to your account or traffic records. You are responsible for regularly checking your violator account for updates. Failure to read online notices does not excuse unpaid penalties or unresolved cases, except where official rules provide otherwise.
9. Privacy and Data Use
Personal and vehicle-related information you provide (and records linked to your account) may be processed for account authentication and portal access; violation and penalty management; official communication and case handling; and reporting, audit, and administrative purposes of the MTMO and authorized offices. Your data will be handled according to applicable Philippine data privacy principles and LGU/MTMO policies. Do not share your password with anyone.
10. Account Security
You are responsible for all activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password immediately and notify the MTMO. The MTMO may require password changes or additional verification for security.
11. System Availability
The MTMO aims to keep the system available, but access may be interrupted due to maintenance, upgrades, outages, or circumstances beyond the office’s control. The MTMO does not guarantee that the system will be error-free or continuously available. Technical issues may temporarily affect login, display of records, notifications, or feedback submission. Temporary unavailability does not cancel existing violations or obligations.
12. Changes to These Terms
The MTMO may update these Terms and Conditions and Disclaimer. Continued use of the system after updates are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, unless a new explicit acceptance is required.
Disclaimer
The following statements limit how the portal may be relied upon. They form part of your agreement to use this system.
13. Informational / management tool
This system is provided to help violators view and manage traffic violation and penalty information. Online records are for transparency and case management and may not contain every detail of an official paper file.
14. Not legal advice
Content in this portal (including violation details, penalty amounts, statuses, announcements, and responses) is not legal advice and should not be treated as a substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer or the competent authority.
15. Possible updates and corrections
Records may be corrected, updated, or reclassified after verification by authorized personnel. Amounts due, payment status, and case status shown online may change when payments are posted, appeals/concerns are resolved, or encoding errors are fixed.
16. Official settlement still required
Paying, settling, or clearing a penalty must follow official MTMO / Municipal Treasurer processes. An on-screen status is not a substitute for an official receipt, clearance, or certification unless expressly issued by the proper office.
17. Evidence and records
Evidence and documents shown in the portal are for reference in connection with recorded cases. Unauthorized copying, alteration, or misuse of evidence/records is prohibited.
18. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law and LGU policy, the MTMO and system administrators are not liable for losses arising from reliance solely on temporary system displays, user failure to keep account information accurate, unauthorized account use caused by the user’s negligence, or service interruptions beyond reasonable control.
19. User responsibility
By using this portal, you acknowledge that you remain responsible for checking your records, responding to official notices, and complying with applicable traffic laws and local ordinances.
